Lightning

Lightning = Weapon of War

The Bible equates lightning with the following weapons of war:
1) Arrows,
2) A sword,
3) Chariots.

Arrows

2Sam. 22:14-15 The Lrd thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered his voice. And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and routed them.

Psa. 18:13-14 The Lrd also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire. And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and routed them.

Psa. 77:17-18 The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound: Thine arrows also went abroad. The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lightened the world: The earth trembled and shook.

Psa. 144:5 Bow thy heavens, O Lrd, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; Send out thine arrows, and rout them. Stretch forth thy hand from above; Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, Out of the hand of foreigners.

Zech. 9:14 And the Lrd shall be seen over them; and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lrd Gd will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

Sword

Ezek. 21:9-10 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lrd: Say, A sword, a sword, it is sharpened, and also polished; it is sharpened that it may make a slaughter; it is polished that it may be as lightning: shall we then make rejoicing? the rod of my son, it contemneth every tree.

Ezek. 21:15 I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: ah! it is made as lightning, it is pointed for slaughter.

Ezek. 21:28 And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lrd Gd concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say thou, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is polished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;

Chariots

Nah. 2:3-4 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the cypress spears are brandished. The chariots rage in the streets; they rush to and fro in the broad ways: the appearance of them is like torches; they run like the lightnings.
