Day = Year

When speaking prophetically, the Bible equates 1 day with 1 year.

Num. 14:33-34 And your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness 40 years, and shall bear your whoredoms, until your dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye spied out the land, even 40 days, for every day a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even 40 years, and ye shall know my alienation.

Ezek. 4:4-6 Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it; according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity. For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto thee a number of days, even 390 days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. And again, when thou hast accomplished these, thou shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: 40 days, each day for a year, have I appointed it unto thee.
